01 · HOW IT WORKS

Every phone is a postman.

Your message is sealed on your phone, then handed to whatever is nearby. Phones that can’t read it carry it until it reaches the person it’s for, for up to 72 hours.

How the mesh works
  1. You write. It’s sealed.

Keys live only on your phone. The message is locked before it ever leaves.

  2. Phones pass it along.

Nearby Meshtrike phones carry it, sealed. They can’t read it or tell who it’s for.

  3. It arrives. Two ticks.

Their phone confirms delivery. Until then the app shows exactly where your message is.

02 · ROUTES

Six ways a message travels. One pill tells you which.

Under every contact’s name, the route pill shows how your message is moving right now. When several routes work, the fastest wins. When none do, it waits safely and says so.

  • Bluetooth10–30 m per hop
  • Wi-Fi Direct50–100 m, with MeshGRID
  • LoRaKilometres, with a radio

03 · FEATURES

Everything a messenger does. Minus the tower.

Messages, voice notes, calls and groups that work phone to phone, plus the tools you need when the place you’re in turns hostile.

See every feature

Messages that find their way

Text, photos, files and replies. If they’re out of range, nearby phones carry it sealed for up to 72 hours.

Voice notes

About 120 KB a minute, so they travel well over Bluetooth and the mesh. Up to 5 minutes.

Nearby voice calls

One to one over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct, with fresh keys every call. No tower involved.

  • Constant cover traffic
  • Text only
  • LoRa and Wi-Fi off
  • 24-hour disappearing
  • Instant lock

High-Risk mode

One switch for hostile places. It also tells you what it can’t protect against.

Groups and public channels

Private groups of up to 50, plus public channels anyone nearby can read. In channels you get a different random name.

Duress PIN and panic wipe

A second PIN silently wipes everything and shows a freshly installed app. Too many wrong PINs wipe it too.

05 · PRIVACY

Rules that never bend.

Built into every screen of the app. There is no setting that turns them off, so nobody can talk you into turning them off either.

No off switch Why each rule exists
  1. 01Notifications carry no names and no content.
  2. 02No screenshots, no screen recording.
  3. 03Never says “sent” while it’s still on your phone.
  4. 04The app never touches the internet.
  5. 05Received media is never shown from the original file.
  6. 06Nothing reveals who talks to whom.
  7. 07No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting.

06 · COMPARE

Not just another messenger.

Ordinary messengers are built around the internet and a company’s servers. Meshtrike is built around the people next to you.

07 · TRUST AND REACH

Check your copy. Then go further.

Meshtrike spreads phone to phone, so every copy can be checked. And when you want more speed or reach, there’s an optional add-on.

Illustration: an app file with a fingerprint pattern, a magnifying glass and a large seal with a check mark. Is my APK real?

VERIFY A DOWNLOAD

Check any copy in your browser.

Every real Meshtrike APK is signed with one release key. Pick the file on the verify page: it checks the signature and the official fingerprint offline, and the file never leaves your device.

Optional add-on

THE MESHGRID ADD-ON

Faster nearby. Private worldwide.

MeshGRID adds Wi-Fi Direct for photos, files and calls, and a private internet route over the Nym mixnet, off by default. It only ever carries messages that are already sealed, so the messenger itself never needs the internet.

08 · FAQ

Fair questions.

Straight answers to the ones we hear most.

All questions

No. Meshtrike talks to other phones directly over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct and LoRa radios. The app itself has no internet permission at all. The optional internet route lives in a separate add-on, MeshGRID, and is off by default.

No. Messages are sealed end to end on your phone. Relays only hold an encrypted envelope and can’t tell who sent it or who it’s for. There is no Meshtrike server.

Bluetooth reaches about 10–30 m per hop, Wi-Fi Direct 50–100 m, and a LoRa radio several kilometres. Beyond that, other phones carry your sealed message as people move, for up to 72 hours. Every route explained.

Not yet. Meshtrike is Android only for now, on Android 10 or newer. An iPhone app that shares the same core and talks to Android phones with the same sealed messages is on the roadmap.
